So we are slowly starting to ease back into normality and it has been one of the most stressful years as of yet for most people, luckily our business is one that can carry on running during these times, even if things are slower than normal due to some businesses not being open. After working on the HMRC tax helpline I know all too well the pitfalls that the general public have when they try to understand the complexity of Tax and all the implication it brings. From here I went on to start my own little service with the top focus helping my clients out of tax and financial issues. These COVID-19 times have been very testing, the phone calls have been off the chart, but I have made myself available at all times including weekends to support, advise and claim Furlough. According to a lot of my newer clients they have not had the support I have offered to my clients which Is quiet concerning as I thought this was our main role as accountants.

As of yet, none of the businesses that I am an accountant for have gone under, which I am very proud of as these are extremely trying times and a lot of people have been struggling. I do believe when the vaccines are administered that the economy will boom, from travel, hospitality, and pubs + restaurants are a definite one. The retail industry has had a surge and have done quite well throughout the ordeal although they have been at the hands of the suppliers producing goods.

Please hang on in there everyone although it seems the hardest of times, there are far worse things that can happen in life, if we all stay positive we can get through this!
